Why Reinvent the Wheel?

3DWriter is no magic bullet. It requires good teaching and a solid writing program. When used in this context, it can be a valuable tool to help build writing skills.

I could fill page after page with links to quality writing resources, but why reinvent the wheel? Instead I will stick with my "less is more" philosophy and provide you with a few links that will lead you to more resources than you have time to visit.

First, I will point you to the five-step writing process that is used at the Southern Regional school district in Manahawkin, NJ.  I chose this school because Rich Tramontana, the teacher who created the web pages the process did a great job, the process is sound, and it is where I taught for 18 years.

Next I will point you to the 6+1 Trait Writing Process developed by the Northwest Regional Education Lab.  It is research based and is used in thousands of schools.

Finally, if you have some time on your hands and want to explore one of the best collections of writing resources I have come across, you can visit the writing resources compiled by Sue LeBeau, one of 21 recipients of New Jersey Tech Fellowships.
